Looking to buy Denver Real Estate in a city with a "small town" feeling with a low crime rate, abundant parks and open space and clean air? Look no further! The town of Castle Rock, home to slightly more than 42,000 people and located midway between Denver and Colorado Springs, has been recognized nationally as a great place to work, live, and raise a family. Castle Rock, the county capital of Douglas County, offers a very diverse mixture of Denver Real Estate housing styles, prices and neighborhoods.

The real estate in Castle Rock varies from century old historic homes, the typical 1960s and 1970s houses, to condos, town homes, and brand new custom style homes. Prices for Castle Rock condos and town homes start in the low $130,000's and can go to the upper $300,000's. For single family homes, the prices range from $150,000 for an entry level older home to over $2 million for custom homes. Many of these Denver homes have fabulous mountain views and are surrounded by open space. Castle Rock is home to three private country clubs and two new public golf courses. Two of the most established and fastest growing communities in Castle Rock are "Founders Village" and "The Meadows". Both subdivisions offer parks and swimming pools, and the elementary schools are located within each neighborhood. .

The town of Castle Rock, situated 30 miles south of downtown Denver, covers 33 square miles and sits in the East Plum Creek Valley at the base of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 6,202 feet. Castle Rock was founded in 1874 and named for the castle-like rock creation that looms above the historic downtown area. Nestled where the high plains meet the Rocky Mountain foothills, Castle Rock offers a life like no other. The town community concentrates on maintaining open space so that the beauty of Colorado is available for generations to come. Considerable amounts of land have been reserved for parks and trails. Eight miles west of Castle Rock, covering over one-third of Douglas County, is the Pike National Forest, featuring magnificent canyons, hiking trails, camp grounds, picnic areas, and fishing. In addition, the town is home to great shopping, including both downtown boutiques and the infamous Outlet Malls at Castle Rock.

So if you are looking for a place to live in Colorado with a small town atmosphere and character with the convenience of big city amenities close by, Castle Rock is the place for you! lease click here to view Denver Real Estate in Castle Rock CO.
